Very new to Dynamo (as in this weekend) and using Dynamo in Revit 22, I'm trying to create a series of new Parameters of the FamilyType variety in a category that isn't the same as the family. The built-in FamilyDocument.AddParameter throws up an error that this kind of parameter cannot be made this way. Using Orchid, I can generate Family Type parameters, but they will only be in the same category as the family.
Is there a way to make new Parameters which are Family Types for the Profile Category in a Door family?
Backstory: Trying to implement a new standard in our firm's multitude of standard doors & frames, and we're using FamilyType labels to drive several elements. I'm trying to utilize the <Profiles> category for the actual door leaf types to avoid having it mixed with other nested families, such as the accessible door clearances, which causes user confusion and errors in the family. I can manually create them (7 per family) for each individual family in the Revit family editor, but it's very time consuming.
