Create Custom Surface Patterns Using Revit API

Hello,

When creating surface patterns in Mass, we are only limited in the patterns provided by its properties (as shown)

Is there a way we can use the API to drive custom surface patterns like patterns created in Autocad for example?

Btw, there is a ParameterValuesFromImage sample from the SDK but that iis using an image to drive parameters (not exactly what you want if you have precised and approved dwg patterns from a client that you want to use as surface patterns in your Revit model).

Any ideas if its possible using the API is greatly appreciated. thank you.

in the RevitAPI.chm, it says:

"TilePatterns cannot be created. A fixed selection is built into each Conceptual Mass family. TilePatterns can be retrieved by key from the Revit.DB.Document.Settings.TilePatternTable object."

->They cannot be created.
