Could not generate Face Analysis Display in Revit UI

Hi!

I'm wondering why I could not display a face analysis result using Dynamo plug-in back to Revit UI, the node used is called FaceAnalysisDisplay.ByViewFacePointsAndValues. The same workflow with PointAnalysisDisplay.ByViewPointsAndValues was working fine. I have created minimal reproducible case demonstrating the problem. Some screenshots are attached. Would gratefully appreciate any help!

Dear Amanda,

Thank you for submitting your report here after our discussion in the comments on The Building Coder:

https://thebuildingcoder.typepad.com/blog/2020/12/dynamo-book-and-texture-bitmap-uv-coordinates.html...

Unfortunately, this is not yet quite what we need. I cannot pass on the Dynamo sample to the development team.

They do not have any such environment set up, and the Revit API discussion forum does not focus on Dynamo related issues.

Therefore, to bring this forward effectively, it would help if you can implement the reproducible case in pure Revit API, preferably by embedding the required code into a project macro.

Please refer to the important aspects of a minimal reproducible case for the development team:

Thank you.

Best regards,

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

Thank you very much for getting back to me. Unfortunately, I don't know
much about the Revit API and not sure how to produce the case in the pure
API environment. I'll try the Dynamo forum again in this case.

Many thanks and best regards,

Amanda

Okey-doke, good luck with that. We can continue with this thread if all else fails...
