Comparison Between Revit Model & CAD Drawing

Hi community,

This is more of a brainstorming topic.. if I have a CAD drawing and a Revit model which was originally built on the drawing. Now I need to check if the model really follows the drawing, like missing some walls or added something that wasn't even in the drawing, etc. How would you achieve it?

First thought came in my mind is converting them into same format, overlapping one with another, check differences visually. There has to be a better approach...

I would suggest exporting both file formats to a generic text format and using the well-tried Unix diff tools to determine the differences between them:
