No. I do not think it is possible in API.

Are there any updates to this?  With 2020 can we use the API to expand certain parts of the project browser based on the user discipline in a shared BIM360 MEP Model?

I deal with 100's of families myself sometimes in a model, and when the Families is maximized, I am burdened to find the parent to minimize it with constant scrolling. I wish to create a routine myself to maximize/minimize just the Families in the project browser with a key stroke. Is this not available in the API still? Dynamo, something?
