Code sample on how to dimension an assembly instance?

Hi folks

I am looking for a code sample on how to dimension an assembly instance.

I have found code samples on how to dimension a wall.  This is good and works fine. However, I do not have examples for assembly instances.

I need to dimension the wall, and also the things which may exist within the wall (e.g. family instances like "lifters" and "grout tubes").

Even the briefest pointer will suffice.

Thank you!

Some background:

  • I am new to the Revit API.
  • the assembly contains a part which has a wall.
  • my nomenclature may be incorrect, so I provide the following screenshots.

I need to dimension this thing in the plan view, and also elevation.
