Choose ASHRAE Table with Revit API

Hello,

I'am trying to use Revit in order to get a Pressure Drop Balance. I would like to know wheither it is possible to choose the ASHRAE Table for selected element. Moreover, is that possible to set an ASHRAE Table even if it doesn't match with the selected element (For instance to choose an elbow table for a tee) ?

I would really appreciate some help on this subject.

Kind Regards,

GM

Dear Guillaume,

In a case such as this, I suggest that you solve the issue through the user interface first before thinking about a programmatic solution.

Discuss with an application engineer, product usage expert, or end user product support to determine the optimal manual workflow and best practices.

All I know about programmatic access to the ASHRAE tables for specific elements is demonstrated by the ASHRAE Viewer Plugin of the Month and the article on Reading ASHRAE Table information from elements:

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Jeremy

Dear Jeremy,

Thank you for your answer. I was just reading your great article "ASHRAE Viewer Plugin of the Month"when I post my question. I already have a programmatic addin which allows me to get the main pressure drops of fittings/accessories but there are still issues because in the user interface I can't select ASHRAE Table even if, for me, it matches with the fitting. Therefore my tool is almost complete but that issue makes it useless.

Best Regards,
