Cant Shift Elevation Heights without thing being deleted

Cant Shift Elevation Heights without thing being deleted

Anonymous
Not applicable

I am having problems with my Revit 2019 project.

Every time I try to shift up or down any of my elevations markers, it issues me a Warning: Elements will be deleted. And then all my items selected to that level are instantly deleted.

All I am doing is shifting the level up 1', I don't have any elevation heights locked with dimensions, either.

Is there a way to fix this?

I did upgrade the file from 2016 to 2019, could this have corrupted my file, by just upgrading?

Thank you for your query.
In general, we discuss pure Revit API related issues here in this forum.

You will probably obtain more fruitful answers on those issues in the Revit product discussion forum:

Hi @Anonymous,

I´d be happy to take a look at your case.

To be able to help you better, I´d like to ask you to do the following:

  1. Upload a simple project file which reproduces the issue and share it through the forum (if you don´t want to share it with the rest of the community, just feel free to send me an A360 Drive- or WeTransfer download link to it in a private message)
  2. Record your steps to reproduce the issue using Autodesk Screencast Recorder and using the sharing option "Anyone" and add it to your post, to make sure that I can reproduce the issue

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Hi @Anonymous,

I haven´t heard back from you for a while - do you still need help with this case?

Have you maybe already figured out what went wrong earlier. Please, send the community a short feedback - this way you might be able to help other users with a similar issue as well.

I look forward to hearing from you.
