Bug Report: DirectShape mirroring doesn't work.

Hi all,

I've pondered a lot over where I should post this issue. I went with the API Board since you can only create DirectShapes via the API, but I don't think this is an API issue. If this isn't the right place, let me know and I'll head over to the Revit Architecture Forum.

I'm trying to use the mirror function from the Modify panel on a DirectShape (see the image below). The software just duplicates the object over the original one, in the same position. For other elements, like beams and walls, the mirror functions works well.

I'm attaching a rvt project with a DirectShape in it and also a C# project for creating a simple DirectShape.

Thank you for your report and for your thoughts about where to post it.

In this case, I agree that here is fine.

I'll check with the development team what the expected behaviour is, and create a development database entry for you if this is unintentional.

Firstly, again, many thanks for your help and implication.

This is a screen shot from the "About" dialog box:

In the Autodesk Desktop App I don't see any new Revit updates, but i have some "Ehnancements" and Utilities that i didn't install.

Can you please provide a journal file that reproduces the problem?

The development team tried it with a development build of Revit and with Revit 2017 R2 local debug, and it worked as expected.

Here is a new update from the development team, saying:

Yes, we did have this in 2017 but we have since fixed it in R2.

You may be able to work around it by copying, or simply upgrading.

As far as I know and judging by the info on the webpage below, I'm already upgraded to the latest version.
