Automate Assigning View Templates

Hello all,

I am in the process of setting up my MEP design office to use Revit. I am deep into the customization as we want it to match our processes in AutoCAD as much as possible to help with training. Long story short, due to way we link Architectural .rvt files to our project file, we need to be able to automate assigning view templates to pre-made views. What is the easiest/most efficient way using Macros or Dynamo to assign example "Level 1 Floor Plan" (always will be named that) with the example "Floor Plan" view template (pre-made and standardized in our template)?

For more information, we need to be able to control the Architect's background in terms of visibility. We receive many different .rvt files during the design process that would need to be cleaned up every time. Currently, our cleanup process includes duplicating the architectural views and assigning our view templates to them. When we link the background into our project file, we are going to use the Visibility/Graphic Overrides Revit Links to control what is being displayed in the Architectural file (most of the time, they show suggested air terminals which we don't want to show on our plans). I am trying to eliminate the amount of work needed to be done each time we receive a new background.

Would appreciate any help or resources to achieve automating the view template process (no, I cannot have it pre-setup in our template).

Thanks!
