Community Update is unhelpful and has created a larger issue

The recent update to the community forum that no longer allows for the direct link to a specific community answer makes it nearly impossible to find the answer to AutoCAD issues. CONSIDER correcting this as the software is not always running perfectly and sometimes the need for quick answers is paramount to completing projects on time.

What do you mean you can no longer link to a specific answer? there's a link button just above the text field in the reply box.

When searching for a specific solution the "linked" forum goes to a general landing page where I cannot find anything through the search function.

Hi Ron,
I don't get that with Chrome Browser and Google Search. What browser are you using?

I am using Chrome Version 116.0.5845.97 (Official Build) (64-bit). I believe there may be something with the archiving of specific solutions on the internet and the forums that held them are no longer available.

@ron.brees Are you wanting to alert Autodesk about broken weblinks to these forums? The place to do that is here I believe https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/reported-community-website/idb-p/community-issue-report

I've also asked the admins to move your post to a possibly better venue for the forum bigwigs to see it, since (you may not know) you and I and everyone in here is just an end user and we don't control diddly around here.

Reminder: Autodesk is not just a couple of dudes sitting around waiting for you and I to alert them with a post in one forum (out of 200+ forums) already populated with over a million posts plus thousands of new posts showing up every day.

Hi @ron.brees 

As part of an archiving process that took place back in March 2023 this piece of content was archived due to being older than 10 years (post date of 9th June 2008) and having no accepted solution. 

We do invite anyone within the community who may have a solution to submit a tip here.
