Offline rendering?

I get this is a beta. I get that there are several things that still need worked out. I get that not all features are available yet. But when I've been kicked from the upload queue for A360 three times in a row in less than 12 hours, when I don't even want to upload to the cloud, is ridiculous. I saw on another post that the reason the forced cloud upload was implemented was by user request, but is there any good reason why there's no choice allowed?

Ok, rant is over. Basically, I have 2 requests.

1) does anyone know if/when the ability to use this without needing to upload to A360 will be available? If it's already there and I've overlooked it, how do I access it?

2) Is there any user generated "fix" or plugin I can use in the meantime?

Hi Zalmoxis6,

this is going to demonstrate you are totally wrong:

The Grafenberg Wald is a stunning forest located in the north-east of Düsseldorf city area, Germany. The largest parts of the forest are in the district Ludenberg. Besides the natural beauty you can enjoy, there was something that really turned me. Indeed, while walking between free deers and incredibly old oaks and beeches, you can meet giant gorgeous wooden statues of a very talented artist named Jörg Bäßler. 3D reconstructions made with Autodesk Memento, each mesh is over 8Mpoly. Raw scan returned with almost no noise and no further need to edit rather than a simple and quick ground removal. These reconstructions took me roughly 10 minutes, 70 pics and i did everything right from the park with my HP laptop, my Canon 60D and a cellphone.

Regards,

V.

this only works in countries where you have high speed internet. or high speed wireless.
anywhere else it is unusuable.
most archaeological sites are located very far away from both of these things. you do the math.
i will go and buy Agisoft instead thanks

Sorry for bumping such an old thread. i was digging back through my conversations looking for something totally different and thought i should just mention that i brought a 12 month subscription to Remake the other day and the deciding factor was that you have allowed offline rendering!! i did a couple of small jobs when i first got it on our point cloud processing machine and it takes less than half an hour to process! we ran a big one overnight (150 photos) and it has worked seamlessly. it jumped to "40%" in just a few minutes and then seemed to "hang" for a while so we went to bed, but was there this morning.

Just out of interest, i am on another remote site at the moment and this is the internet speed today.
internet speed site.JPG

This is lightning fast today as they rest something here on site due to the fact you couldn't reliably open a website the last few days. Couldn't even do a speed test yesterday, kept timing out. This is actually literally twice as fast as my connection at the office in a capital city. So thank you again for giving us an offline processing option.

(the big job was done in the office and run on our point cloud processing machine in the office)

Due to the fact it seemed like i was so critical of this previously, I just wanted to say thanks to all the Remake team for allowing offline rendering and doing such an awesome job with the software. The price is on point too. excellent work all round guys and girls! Really excited about using this program and integrating it into our business offerings!
