When using a smartphone, it would be a cool feature to make it easy to scan something with your phone.
I imagine these steps:
1) Open app, hold it in front of your object
2) Accept the startingpoint
3) Now as you move around it, "dots" show up on the screen telling from what angle it needs a "photo" (like it does when creating google streetviews)
4) Since you have set the "resolution" (number of images) on forehand (say 70 images resolution), it tells you when you are finished
The origin of the idea came from my personal project of making a 3D scanner with infinite resolution (using remake) for smaller objects. See it as a box with a disk inside it where you put the object (having a checker pattern on it). You then turn the disk (either by hand or motor) or have a function that is turning the camera (a placed smartphone) that takes the pictures. The purpose of having it inside a box is to make sure the lighting is the exact same for all models you are scanning, hence speeding up the workflow
