Specify proxy server on ReCap Photo

Specify proxy server on ReCap Photo

I use ReCap Photo in my office.

In my company, employee have to specify the proxy server.

There is no option to specify proxy server in ReCap Photo.

So, I can't sign in on ReCap Photo.

But, I can sign in on ReCap Pro not to specify proxy server.

I can sign in on other Autodesk products, like Maya, 3ds Max and so on.

I would like to sign in ReCap Photo without specfying proxy server, or at least with specfying proxy server.

I would like you to keep quality with other Autodesk products.

Thank you

Best Regards.

You might want to ensure that your IT / admin team has whitelisted all the sites listed in this link: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/AutoCA...

Especially be sure to add the Akamai hosts (*. edgekey.net & *.akamaiedge.net &*.autodesk.com) to the exception lists (as mentioned in the Autodesk Knowledge Network link).

Finally, you need to be sure that there is no blockage of calls from ReCap Photo to ports 80 or 443.  This should resolve the issues.

So Autodesks response to proxy issues is to white list the entire internet? That is incredibly poor and unprofessional.

If you are looking for a useful response that doesn't require white listing the internet, on Windows you can add the following environment variables

Variable name: HTTP_proxy

Variable value: http://yourhttpproxyaddress:port

Variable name: HTTPS_proxy

Variable value: https://yourhttpsproxyaddress:port

You should change the bits in italics to match your company proxy settings. Ask your IT department if you don't know how to do this. I don't know if this works when using an authenticated proxy.
