So we regularly relied on a workflow where if we registered a project and found any underlying issues, usually caused by combining 2 groups. We would create the 2 groups as new projects from the indexed scans and skip registration. We could then re-import both groups into a new project and have a second hopefully better attempt and in some cases include more scans to help the alignment...
However when we do this in the new version of Recap all scans are just dumped on top of each other and lose their correct position. We haven't changed process. just Recap Version. It worked perfectly before and not now.
2 fixes would be great:
1. Resort back to whatever made this process work well before.
2. Fix group alignment - Recap never gives any kind of indication on whether a group has aligned well to another group.. It just accepts it regardless of how bad it is potentially wasting many hours/days of effort (depending on when someone made copies of the registration and if they haven't saved over the back-ups). Now with the new broken Recap fixing misaligned groups is impossible with the only remedy being start from scratch!
With every new release lately, Recap seems to lose something useful.
