Multi-select Scan Locations to turn on/off

It would be nice to be able to multi-select scan locations to turn then on/off. For example, maybe I only want to see 1 scan in a 100 scan job. At the moment I have to individually turn off each of the 99 other scans by selecting "eye icon". This is very cumbersome. It would also be nice to be able to turn all scans off and then just turn on the ones I want to see, either individually or by multi-selecting and then turning them on.

I'm glad to let you know that this feature already exists!  Simply Alt+Click on the eye icon to hide all other scans.

Hi @cody_austin,

You can also create scan groups and toggle on/off those groups at once.

question 1: is there a possibility to multi-select scan locations? To change sub-folder?

question 2: is there a way to change multiple scan color values at once?

I was able to create scan groups by dragging one over the other.  Now, how do you remove the scan from the group? I tried and its said its going to delete the scan entirely.  Also, Can you put a scan in more than one group?

Thanks

Let's say I have 20 scans I want to group, how do I group them without manually dragging every single scan to the group? It seems like the feature to turn multiple scans off or on depends on them being in a group. But creating groups is still a tiresome process.

Bottom line: Is this really implemented?

The alt-click solution solves only part of the problem and it has a bug.

It works fine if you only view one scan at a time and revert to all scans visible by alt-clicking the scan again.

But if you isolate one scan by alt-click, then open one or two more scans by clicking them, you can no longer make all scans visible by alt-clicking again. The only way to get all scans visible again is to click them open one by one.

This can be very frustrating if you have dozens of scans.

Why not implement the standard multiple select (shift-click and control-click) selection methods that are used almost universally in desktop software? Select a range of items from the list, or pick a set of individual items, then turn them on or off by a single click.

I agree with what Mika and others are stating above that Autodesk should remain consistent in their desktop software.  This idea is not fully implemented as documented in the above feedback.  In AutoCAD the layer dialog box is a very nice way to manage layers and should be the same in ReCap to manage scan locations.  I would also add this interface should be the same to manage Scan Regions as well.  COMON DEV TEAM YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

I created a short video to help highlight what we want for scan locations.  Please use the same logic for Scan Regions.

Take care,

Tim
