Manual positioning/ tweaking of scans.

Manual positioning/ tweaking of scans.

Every now and again my surveyors may miss a very vital scan that is needed to link one major group accurately to another major group, e.g. on a stair winder linking 2 floors. It would be great to be able to manually position the 2 groups, then tell recap which points to prioritise when linking. This could maybe be achieved by highlighting areas of the data to link 2 scans that see portions of the same information, eg the back wall, with a window a bit of the ceiling and some stair treads. Then give values for the accuracy of the highlighted points after alignment.

As an add on to this idea, the screenshot below is the kind of thing I'd like to be able to clean up easily. It's only 25mm out but again Recap read good results as the ceiling and floor are correct. If I could just say to recap "no it should be here" then tell it to refine to within 5-10mm of where I put it that would be awesome and I could offer my clients much more accurate data.

Obviously I know the error exists so I can now remove the dodgy scan and the following chain and go again till I get it right, but to be ble to move one into position and allow recap to re-align the affected scans would save a lot of hassle.

For it to work affectively we'd either need the option to see the data in recap in much higher resolution, smaller point visibility or some kind of back link to the software we are viewing it in (In my case Revit).

Please let me know if you need any more info, detail or imput etc. as I really want to see this capability in the software.
