It would be great to enhance the Limit box feature in ReCAP as to highlight contrast the Points that are intersecting the limit box. This would make it easier to Trace or analyse the object's Profile.
I think you might be talking about a functionality similar to a feature we have the application today. Have you tried the "Highlight Edges" toggle in the Options menu for limit boxes?
Is this what you're looking for? Or something more advanced?
In the Limit Box tool, and under the options tile we have a "Highlight Edges" option that can be toggled on to highlight intersecting points - is this the behaviour you are wanting, or something different?
This has appeared on the forums previously. Some need the option for these points to be highlighted after you press "Confirm" after you exit the limit box feature.
Yes, like the Highlight Edges Feature, but allow the Color to stay on after you Confirm your limit. (We deal with various smaller object scans, say a wrecked vehicle. the Profile slice becomes important when visually inspecting or accurately tracing the scan.)

Thanks for the clarification freedom1k,
Sorry for all of the questions here, but when you mention tracing - do you mean just visually, or are you tracing in Cad or something else?
I am just curious if there are any additional benefits to be had beyond persisting the intersecting edges visually.
I should have been more clear Damian. Yes, the Tracing would Occur in other products 3dsMax, AutoCad Products, Revit and Inventor; All of which would need the Highlighting Feature when importing the Scans. I'm able to Snap to the scanned Point when I make a very thin LimitBox, but on Curved Surfaces it's tough to distinguish between Points on the slice and the ones just beyond. If Tracing is not needed, a Visual indicator in ReCap would be great, Then we could save a Screen Shot for a report. (this brings up another wish item.) 🙂
