When native LAZ import becomes possible in ReCap 360 (Pro), then we should also have an abillity to use a GIS Clipping Polygon to only import a project area.
In the Netherlands we have loads of public LAZ files available but these come in a 5 by 6 km tile which gives huge datasets to download and process. For this reason I use rapidlasso LAStools which has a nice utility called LASClip to clip a project area using an ESRI SHP Polygon (and also at the same time decompress the LAZ to LAS).
