Export Mesh to your own computer not cloud

Using the trial, I have tried serval different mesh exports (varied in size) with no luck. I get 2 reason for error. "Request is temporally unavailable". Well my time is my time. Why can't we just export out to our own computer like Edgewise? Faro scene? .rvt or .dxf.

How about finding cylinders with a center line? I am an Electrical Designer, this feature would be great for asbuilts or retrofit work.

To your first comment - the scan-to-mesh service leverages Autodesk's cloud infrastructure to process the data more efficiently and keep your IT overhead low.  ReCap is designed to run on a business laptop - to enable local meshing we would need to change those requirements significantly (or make some technical breakthroughs).

To the second point - can you clarify what you mean about 'finding cylinders with a centerline'?  In ReCap Pro you can:

  • Query the diameter and centerline of a cylinder
  • Snap to either the outer surface or centerline of a cylinder

See the below image.  Can you explain what else you need?

Thanks,

Ryan
