Don't automatically revert to perspective view

I like to work on my pointclouds in orthographic/plan view or whatever you want to call it (ReCap doesn't give it a name, it is just Perspective 'off') but I also frequently use the mirrorballs for the scanner's view.

The problem is when exiting from a mirroball back into the pointcloud ReCap infuriatingly reverts to Perspective view every single time. When you have a large pointcloud and have to flit between lots of different areas doing spatial data analysis this is beyond irritating. Can you please write some code to prevent this from happening. Or maybe a shortcut key to toggle perspective/orthographic (if there is one I am unaware)
