Using the Recap web tool to view and take dimensions from point cloud survey ?

Our surveyor is due to send us a Recap point cloud files for a recent interior survey he did of one of our projects. 

The problem we have is that all the machines in our office run mac (OSX) which the Recap desktop software isnt compatible with. 

Would the Recap Website allow us to view and take measures / dimensions from an Recap point cloud survey file ?

Hi @studio,

Yes, the surveyor can share projects with you through the web and you can view the scan data and all the annotations for free.

If you would like to take measurements yourself and add notes, you'd have to have ReCap Pro subscription.

Studio asked if he could MAKE annotations, not only view annotations.

@studio

if you have Autocad for Mac, you should be able to attach the Recap Project as Point Cloud Reference and start from there.

When I mentioned measurements and notes I meant annotations in general.
