What are the types of the different files that can be found in the “Support” folder that comes along with a RCP Recap project file?

I know that .rcs files contain individual scan data.

1) According to Autodesk project is in "structured" format?, .rcc files contain individual scan structuration data. Is that correct?

2) What kind of information is contained in the following file types:

  • .llt
  • .diff
  • .temp[\d+]
  • .thumbnail

hi @lamorlette,

This is what we have been told by the development team for the files inside the support folder:

.rcs is the indexed scan data.

.rcc is the compressed structured scan data.

Temporary cache files contain some files such as metadata, maps, preview images, spherical images, and other derived information. They are not mandatory for the project, but having them ready in the folder will make the project visualization and processing faster and more smoothly.

.rch : header file of range image

.llt: file used for range image preview.

.diff: Holds the raw scan points that do not map to range image.

Thank you!

Hello,

How can I open the scan file into the 3D software if the file format is diff, llt, rcc, etc?

but the main question remains same as "how to open .rcc file?" in Autodesk Recap Pro software there is no option to open .rcc file. Only .rcs or .rcp options are available.
