Hi Folks,
The competing product PnD picks up the GPS location automatically from the pics and renders 2D and 3D pics. Has anyone else experienced this?
Thank you
Hi @timeforprunejuice ,
Possible to share a few images with us for investigating on our end?
Thanking You.
Warmest Regards,
Hi, I have the same issue after I got the new Mavic 3 Enterprice. Does not mather if I take picture with or without RTK.
the coordinate system is the same for images taken with the Phantom 4 as the Mavic 3E but the images from the M3E get the error message that the images have no GPS.
The project i possible to create with GCP but it´s more difficult to find the right pictures when it can´t filter by GPS.
Is there any solution for this?
Hi @timeforprunejuice @jonatan.skog ,
Would it be possible to share a few images from your datasets for us to investigate? If Yes, I will PM you a private one-drive Autodesk link.
Thanking You.
Warmest Regards,
Hi @jonatan.skog ,
It's possible as you have mentioned. We will need to give a test on our end and investigate. I have PMed you the link to upload your dataset.
Thanking You.
Warmest Regards,
I had this happen and we "think" it was due to a lost signal during the operation. It just seemed too odd to us that when we did scans in this concrete basement under two more stories of pure concrete construction in a parking garage (open air) that all of a sudden they lost GPS data associated. Its still unknown but I'd wager a guess that's what happened. Could you have lost GPS out in the open air? Sure, if you had a blip in connection right before you scanned... Seems more like a glitch of some kind, some software piece not talking to the other properly.
Has this been resolved? I am similarly unable to get ReCap Photo to recognize that photos taken with a Mavic 3E have GPS data.
It´s not working yet but a fix of the problem is in the pipe and will be rolled out in april/may.
until then, it is still possible to create models, but the workflow is a little more difficult when you have to find the images manually and use GCP.
Hi @jbowersP7456 ,
We have fixed this and it will be available for the April FY24 release. The issue was with the library reading the GPS info from the drone images. We have tested it and thanks @jonatan.skog for your dataset that helped me validate this case.
Thanking You.
Warmest Regards,
