Hi all, hoping someone can shed some light on this... I've searched for other results, but everything seems to be pre-recap '23, before multi-threading was enabled.
The issue: Indexing of 103 scans (152GB of individual e57s, from an RTC360) has so far taken around 68 hours and is still going, currently at 95%. This is ridiculous.
***Update - this took approx 106 hours in the end... over an hour per scan to complete***
Software & hardware:
- Recap Pro 2023.1.0.3
- Windows 10 Enterprise
- 11th Gen Intel i9-11900k @3.5GHz (8 core/16 logical processors)
- 64GB RAM
- Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
- Data and processing all undertaken on local drives; E57s on a Seagate ST8000VN004 8TB IronWolf 3.5" SATA3 NAS Hard Drive; processing to a WD Blue SN570 NVMe 2TB SSD.
Based on previous projects and data, things tend to run fine 90% of the time, but every now and again I get projects like this that just seem to fall flat and take a small eternity to complete. You can see that the system is barely breaking a sweat - resources are not tied up in any other processes - and its as if it's not even trying to get the job done... just having an extended coffee break:
What can I be doing differently? Any explanation as to why this could be taking so long?
Cheers.
