I will go out and fly surveys with our small drone and using another company I can extract a point cloud from the software, the only issue is the number of points is significantly too high. Since we are flying over vegatation the contours that civil3d builds are very messy and it's difficult to do a grading design with. I am wondering if there is a way to reduce the number of points in ReCap down to 1 in a set square area. I.e. draw a grid, pick the most central point of the bunch, and output that as a point cloud or list.
@JHoneycutt312 You can use "Unified point cloud" export or "Intelligent Decimation" tool to reduce the point cloud size without compromising the quality.

Is there way decimate greater than 1000mm? I know it's odd to want to reduce the quality so much but typically the point distances I get are 10ft+
@JHoneycutt312 Interesting use case. Can you try decimating to a much lesser percentage instead of unification?
