Recap versions and licences etc

Hi all

I'm really confused - is there currently a free version of Recap, or not?

I'm using Recap Pro which seems to be on a free trial.  After the trial, will it revert to a free (non-Pro) version, or will it stop working altogether?

Jack,

ReCap you can use without license, but to access to some functions (marked PRO) you need to license of product. So, license of ReCap = PRO.

For ReCap Photo similar situation - here you can't use cloud's service in "Create 3D" panel, because it require cloud units (that can be deal only with Autodesk Account). I'm not sure about possibility to buy cloud credits without license to product and try to use functional of ReCap Photo, but I think that it may be done only with license of product.

But you may open and import to ReCap Photo models from other data format and export points from it to ReCap use export's functions such as screen below. 

Thus, after 30-day period you can continue use product, but PRO-functions don't access you - but all model will remain available for open/edit/export data to another software...

Thank you for the reply.

All I need Recap for is to import point clouds that have been created in other software (.xyz files) and view them and take measurements in Recap.

Is this possible in the free version?

Yes, you can do it in free version of program
