Recap Stalling at Indexing

I am currently using Recap Pro to try and register and index a project of 70 scans from a Trimble TX6. I have exported the files as e57s which have correctly imported and registered however when I try to index the scans Recap just sits at 0%. I have used the system manager to check the CPU and RAM usage and MSI afterburner to check the GPU usage and Recap does not appear to be doing anything.

Has anyone else had this problem or is there a log file I can look at to see what the issue is?

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for participating in our Community! Would you be able to let me know what version of ReCap you have? Is your data stored on network drive or on external drive? If they are then try to save locally and try importing again. Let me know if this helps.

Thank you and have a great day!

Hi @anil_mistry,

I was using 4.0.0.28 which I have now upgraded to the latest version. The data is stored on a SSD within the computer.

I am currently trying to re-import the data with the updated version and I will let you know in the next few days how it has gone. Thanks

Hi @anil_mistry,

I re-imported and re-registered the data over the past two days with the new version and the data all on one hdd on the computer (rather than between a hdd and sdd both still on the same computer) and the indexing has worked. Thank you

I am having a similar issue, the point cloud registered correctly but indexing continues to sit at 0%. I have plenty of storage for the file and am running 5.0.2.41. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
