Greetings,
I am new to 3D printing (printer is on order) and for my first project I wanted to try to print a broken part to my shower that is discontinued.
I heard about this great software ReMake from Autodesk, but found it has been replaced with ReCap Photo, but I cannot find any information on how to actually use the program.
I've glued my part together well enough to take pictures and loaded them into ReCap Photo but I can't figure out how to clean up the mesh for printing.
any guidance would be appreciated before my trial runs out in 20 days.
Hello @santaniellog
You can open the .rcm file in ReCap Photo and use Mesh editing tools to crop the model as you want.
Do let me know, if you need more help on this?
Thanks,
Hi @santaniellog,
I'm just checking in to see if you need more help with this. Did the suggestion that @critesh provided work for you?
If so, please click Accept as Solution on the posts that helped you so others in the community can find them easily.
Hi @santaniellog,
I am checking back to see if one of the great posts in this thread helped you with your question. If so, please take a moment to reward the poster or posters with a Kudos and select the Accept as Solution button on those posts that helped.
Thank you and have a great day!
I am sorry, but the responses I have received to date are worthless.
I asked for instructions on using the mesh editing tools and received nothing. If this is the type of support one can expect during the trial period I can't see how anyone who needs the support as I do would ever pay for this tool. I certainly will not!
Hello @santaniellog
I have created small video clip for you, unfortunately, not able to attach here, please send me email on ritesh.chandwar@autodesk.com, I will send you the clip there.
Thanks,
Hi @santaniellog,
I was wondering if you were able to send you email address to @critesh so he can send you screen cast that he prepared for you.
Thank you and have a great day!
I am no longer interested in your product. please close the case and remove me from any and all lists.
Hi @santaniellog,
I am so sorry to hear your experience. Please, let us know if we can help you with anything else.
Thank you and have a great day!
I would like to have the video you created. I am having the same issue. I do not know how to edit my model.
I would appreciate it if you could send what you have made. Also maybe you could load it to the Autodesk YouTube site
