RECAP - how to determine which file is associated with section

Are there any tools that allow me to associate the underlying .LAS file(s) with a set of points I select, when I've imported an entire folder of indexed LAS files.

I've imported a folder of .LAS files into RECAP.  There are 150 scan files in this folder.  I'm only interested in ONE section of the massive terrain file that comes in, and that section I'm interested in correlates to ONE of those 150 scan files.  However, I have no idea which .las file is the one I'm interested in.

Thanks,

Robert

Hello,

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a single feature that will allow you to immediately associate points with a scan. However there are a couple of tools that might help get to where you need quicker:

- Scan Location tool in the Display Settings (2nd down from Home) -> Color Mode (First from left) menu. This will color the points by scan. After toggling, hovering over the Scan Locations in the Project Navigator will display the color assigned, allowing you to cross reference the points to the scan name.

- Also on the Project Navigator scans is the Hide button, which will toggle the visibility of the scan. Alt + Hide will activate isolation on the scan.

Hi Justin,

Great advice about using Color Mode. Wasn't aware of that feature. Should work well for what I'm attempting. Thanks for the reply!
