RECAP FIles Viewer

Any one know of a way to let my customers view the RCP or RCS files that I produce for them. They are not CAD users Does The RECAP Trial revert to being just a viewer once the trial is expired? Is there an alternative software that would serve as just an RCP or RCS viewer?

Hi @Anonymous,

ReCap 360 will continue to operate as more than a viewer after the Pro trial expires[1], or if they defer subscribing to Pro themselves.

I hope that helps,
Zackery

But if they use Recap 360, they still will be able to modify (Create regions, delete points...) and save (as) the Project. They will be able to view both the Cloud and the RealViews.
The one other possibility is to attach the Recap Project in Navisworks Simulate, even combined with 3D CAD files, and then, with the right settings, you can publish it into one Very large NWD file which can be viewed in Navisworks Freedom. Then they can measure and walk trough the cloud, but the Realviews are no longer available.

@Anonymous, you can publish your structured scan project to ReCap 360 and then share your project through a browser with clients. They can view and navigate the project using the realviews and do simple measurements and annotations etc. Clients will need an Autodesk ID to login. At the moment I think it's not possible yet to publish a scsan project PUBLIC.

Another promising technology is ReCap 360 Mobile, which will alow for sharing the published scan project also on the iPad. Check this page.
