We have a Revit model which sits on Ordnance Survey grid - we wanted to insert the scan into this model so we registered it using OS values for targets. We started to process .e57 file on OS grid and result was a massive decimation of around 90% of the points as seen below.
Normally we have points 1-2mm apart on the scan in this instance is 15mm at best and usually around 20-50mm.
When we extracted the scan on the local grid the problem is not there. It looks exactly the same as in registering software.
I can see 3 solutions to my problem:
1. Autodesk is fixing ReCap
2. Import in local and transform the coordinate system in ReCap to OS (preferable solution but not sure if it is possible - I can see some transformation options there)
3. Find another conversion software.
If someone knows how to convert to OS from local that would be most appreciated help.
