We are currently working as ADN members on a project using the ReCap SDK, and we would like to get some clarification regarding feature detection capabilities, specifically related to cylindrical object detection.

We are interested in understanding how cylindrical geometries are identified within point cloud data using the ReCap SDK. Could you please provide insight into the following:

1. Whether cylinder detection is handled internally by specific modules or DLLs within the SDK
2. If there are any exposed APIs or functions that allow direct access to cylinder detection or geometric feature extraction
3. Any recommended workflow or approach for detecting cylindrical features from point cloud data using the SDK
4. Availability of documentation, samples, or best practices related to this functionality

Our goal is to accurately detect and process cylindrical elements (such as pipes) from scanned data, and understanding the underlying mechanism or available tools would be very helpful.

Our main requirement is to understand how cylindrical object detection is handled within the ReCap SDK for point cloud processing. Specifically, we would like to know:

• Whether cylinder detection functionality exists internally within specific SDK modules or DLLs

• If there are any public APIs, functions, or workflows available for detecting cylindrical geometries (such as pipes)

• Whether ReCap SDK provides any feature extraction utilities related to geometric primitives

• If there are any documentation references, samples, or best practices available for this use case

Currently, we are working on detecting cylindrical components from scan data, and we are trying to understand whether this capability is directly supported by the SDK or if it needs to be implemented externally.
