Project Cleanup doesn't work - has it been abandoned?

I tested Recap Pro "Cleanup" features when it first came out.  I was dissapointed in the results as I found it to be over-agressive or not enough.  There was significant overlap between "too many points removed" and "not enough points removed".  In order to get the bad points, a setting was required that would also get the good points.

 

So i just returned to try it again.  Alas, it removes NO points, regardless of setting.  I tried about 5 settings from 0% t 100%.  It processes for a while (3mins+/- on my 26 Faro scans at 1/8 resolution), only to give the message "No Points removed - it may help to unhide scans".

None of my scans are hidden.  It is Structured data processed in Recap from Faro fls scans.  No existing regions, clipping, bounding boxes, etc.

 

I'm wondering if there has been any work on this Beta project, and if others have been using it with any success or predictability.

5.0.2.41 is version of Recap Pro I'm using.

Anil, you have a difficult job of answering all these questions on the Forum.  And it can be more challenging when posts have incomplete information, I'm sure.  However, it is frustrating to post a problem or question and the only reply is a question in return or requests to share a huge project (with obligatory niceties about using the forum, etc).  Users of the Forum are in need of real solutions, constructive feedback, suggestions and technical insights.  Many questions asked or problems shared are experienced by many and on multiple versions.  

While it took a while to reply to your post with my version (Recap forum doesn't fully support mobile platform and most don't monitor web regularly), the version i'm using really isn't material to my question.  Cleanup is a function offered by Recap in most recent 18 months or so.  it's never really worked as intended by my experience and even the subsequent reply by another user concurred that it has never worked.

Perhaps you should assume a most recent version and troubleshoot internally with your team, especially from frequent users of the Forum.

Hands down!

It's so true what you said, Anil is too much question for you to answer, try to talk with autodesk and who's in charge.

 

We need solutions , we need a strong feedback. We need that our ideas turn in to good stuff and other commands for newest versions.

I am sorry that you felt that way. Reason I asked you about version information is, sine we release Project Clean-up development team has made lots of enhancement and functionality changes. I was trying to get more information so I can try to do further investigation. I will let development team about our experience and will give you an update soon.

Dear @anil_mistry,

 

Do you have any news to announce regarding the evolution of the clean-up tool ? Any clue of what we should expect and when ?

The project has been a beta version for 2 and a half years, I've known about about ir for 6 months only, I can't imagine being one of the first users, looking forward to using an effective product...

I unfortunately don't know how long your "soon" really is!
