Problems with importing fls files (from Faro Scene) in Recap 2025.

Hello,

When importing fls files (Faro Scene scan data), some fls files are not imported.
We have been using Recap for 10 years and always import our scan data into Recap in the same way but recently we have been importing fls files (mixed fls files coming from our terrestrial scanners and our mobile scanner - Faro Orbis) and recently we have been having problems importing with the fls files coming from our mobile scanner (faro Orbis) and more specifically the fls files created as Flash scans.
These Flash scans have a larger file size and always get rejected when indexing in Recap.

I attach some screenshots to illustrate the altered fls files (Flash scans from the Orbis). The other scan data from the Orbis does get indexed in Recap.

Can you please help me very quickly with this problem. We need to be able to work out the point cloud immediately in Revit.

i have the same problem... i used Recap just 2 weeks ago and worked properly

From what I know Faro built something into the FLS files when using a new scanner that makes Recap reject the files. They did this so it forces you to purchase a Scene license. 

When I can with my old Focus S, I can still put the FLS directly into Recap. When I use my newer Faro Scanner, I have to process in Scene and then export to register in Recap.

I too am having the same problem. I can't seem to figure out how to open up Faro Scans in Recap 2025.
