point normals

I have a point cloud a txt file containing 3 cols of x, y, z-coord., 3 cols of point normals (v1, v2, v3) and 3 cols of rgb. The data set indexed a year ago is shown by the attached normalsOld.png. It shows meaningful point normals revealing interesting features of the 3d structure. The same data set indexed with recap 360 Pro 3.1.0.12 is shown by the attached normalsNew.png. The color arrangement does not make any sense. Does anybody know how to index the data set correctly to get a reasonable display of point normals back? The issue presented is solved by providing Recap a scan point file which does not include columns of normal vectors. Let Recap run the job of determining the normals and its done. The handling of the normals might have changed from the version (1.x) used in the last year to the current one.
