No Registration button after Auto-register

Hi,

I recently registered some scans with auto-registration and auto-register didn't align some of the scans correctly. Now I want to manually fix them but I can't because there should be a 'Registration" button in the home flyout that allows me return to the registration window. As you can see from the pic, it's not there nor is the RealView button there.

Anyone have a suggestion?

thanks,

Hi @chris-reese,

Thank you for participating in our Community! You are not seeing RealView and Registration button because your point cloud data are not in structured format. You can only see RealView and Registration with Structured point cloud data. Structured scan data is mainly coming from Faro, Leica, Z+F, Riegl, Topcon & Trimble 3D laser scanners in the format of .FLS, .PTG, PTX, ZFS, CLR, RSP and RDBX scan files respectively. These file formats, and some types of binary E57 scan files, are primarily structured scan data. Please see this Forum post for more information. Let me know if this helps.

Thank you and have a great day!

Please check whether the .rcc files of the scans exist in the project support folder or somewhere else together with .rcs files.

If the .rcc files cannot be found, registration tool will be disabled.

I'm importing .fls scans so that can't be the problem since those are structured files. I used the same files to manually register and had no problem with it.

Hi @chris-reese,

Thank you for your reply. Even if the scan is structured, if .rcc file is missing, the structured information cannot be used.

And .rcc files are used for  realview/ registration process. I would suggest to try creating project again and see if you are still seeing this behavior.

Thank you and have a great day!
