Hi there,
I Just discover an issue with the New Recap Pro that I suscribed yesterday.
If you start Recap Pro, create a new Project and select Photo to 3D, then you have the option to process only a few images.... 6 to 19 pictures for example. Which is very usefull in some cases.
This should NOT eat any cloud credits as long as you do not use the "Ultra" mesh quality.... but In fact it will consume 12 cloud credits !
It just eated my clouds credits this way this morning ... 😞
If you start "Recap Photo" from your desktop icon, it brings you with a slightly different interface (saying from 0-20 images it is free, from 20 to 300 it is 12 cloud credits, etc...) but in that case trying to process less than 20 images will send you an error message saying you need to process at leas 20 pictures ...
Clear enough ?
Any other people experiencing the same behavior with the different way to process images ?
If someone at Autodesk could double check and make the thing works as designed ? (and refound wrongly used credits ?)
Would be great ?
Thanks for your time and have a great day
Hi @nicolasmenu,
Thank you for participating in our Community and providing feedback.
At this time ReCap Photo “Object” mode allows you to upload maximum 300 photos and requires 12 cloud credits per project. For some reason if project fails than the cloud credits are automatically added back to their account.
For “Aerial” mode upload limit is 1000 photos and the new cloud credit usage rates are based on the number of photos in the job as follows:
Please, review this article for ReCap Photo Frequently Asked Questions.
Let me know if this helps.
Thank you and have a great day!
Hi Anil,
Thanks, For Recap Photo, I understand the pricing theory . Actually Tier1 (20 to 300) pictures cost 12 credits, you can NOT process anything with less than 20 pictures.
If you load Recap PRO and start a photo project from there, you have the ability to send project with less than 20 pictures wihch is supposed to be free (unless you choose the Ultra quality), but in fact it is not free it does cost 12 credits despite the fact. Just try it, you will see hoe it works.
If you need detailed steps, let me know.
Hi @nicolasmenu,
May I ask where does it says that under 20 images is free?
This should not be the case with ReCap Photo on desktop.
Thank you,
Mitko
