Recap 23.0.0.258 appears to have a navigation issue. When scrolling mouse wheel (orbit mode) a limit is reached and no further zoom/fly is possible. At this limit, panning is not possible. Also, orbiting used to rotate about the point under the cursor, but now appears to orbit about the center of the project. Odd behavior in orthographic view as well. This renders Recap almost unusable. Can someone from the Autodesk Team comment please?
Hi sreed,
Thanks for reporting the issue with ReCap. Can you reproduce the issue with AutodeskReCapSampleProject? Do you have video to illustrate the issue?
Regards,
Klarinda
Hi @sreed ,
I just tried in a few projects and also a sample project and I am not being able to reproduce this in FY23. I tried both 3D view and Real View for this. Possible to know how large of a project is this? I also see the orbit is just below the curser and helps orbit around that point.
Thanking You.
Warmest Regards,
We are getting the same issue, where the pivot point wont snap to point cloud so the orbit seems to be centered for the whole recap project
Another user recommended closing and restarting Recap to resolve the "rotation point" issue. Indeed, that has worked every time i (am forced to) do that. Workaround, but workable... Hope this helps.
BTW Recap Team, Why is multi-thread/core processing buried in a hotfix and not a minor (or even major) update? It is a very welcome improvement and greatly speeds our projects. Thank you!!
Hi @EUROPEANPROJECT @sreed ,
We are working on a fix for the issue for ReCap 2024.
Also regarding the Parallel import, it was an update 23.1 and not a hotfix. Initially was planned for FY23 but was pushed for further testing until our major .1 update. We have been having one major update for each year around October.
Thanking You.
Warmest Regards,
