Hi Craig,
You can export a subset of scans from your current project by toggling scan visibility. Set those scans which you want to export as visible and those scans which you do not want to export as not visible.
View the Project Navigator by clicking on the icon in the lower right corner of ReCap or by hitting the 'Q' key. Expand the list of scans by clicking on the arrow next to Scan Locations. Visibility for each scan can be toggled by clicking on the eye icon which becomes visible when hovering over each scan. Set the scans which you wish to export as visible and select Export Scans from the main menu or use the keyboard shortcut 'Ctl-E'.
We are always looking at ways to improve the registration process. In the current version of ReCap you are able to revisit the registration process by selecting the Registration Results icon from the main menu. From that view you can review the accuracy report as well as redo the registration if needed.
Scans with high amounts of overlap register together in a highly robust manner, if you have situations where there is less than an ideal amount of overlap between areas I suggest using the grouping feature as well as making sure you have sufficient scan detail in pinch points or portals (such as doorways or stairwells). For example, if you are scanning a multi-floor facility, it is recommended that you register each floor as a separate group and tie to groups together with scans from multiple stairwells. When your environment has a portal, such as doorway, it is recommended that you place a scan station on either side of the portal as well as one in the portal. The overlap metric in ReCap registration reports can help guide your scan station placement.
