Exporting Failed / Optimization never finishes

Yesterday i spent a day cleaning up a pre-unified rcs, and before I left, I attempted to export.  The file was originally only 20GB.  I came in this morning, and it stopped exporting at 6%.  I am now trying to optimize the project, hoping that that will help with the export, however has been optimizing for an hour.  What should i do to get this exported?
