CG,
Easiest way is to use LASInfo in the free >>>LAStools<<<.

When you hover on the scan in the scan list of project navigator, it will show the number of points in that scan.

Yan,
"When you hover on the scan in the scan list of project navigator, it will show the number of points in that scan."
Where is the "scan list of project navigator"? Can you post a Screen Shot?

Yan,
Thanks, but I can't find anything in ReCap that looks like your Screen Shot. Where is "Project Navigator"? What steps are you taking to get to your Screen Shot?

Yan,
I hate to appear even more ignorant than I already am, but I truly have no idea where you're getting those screen shots. You're using Autodesk ReCap, right?

The project navigator can be called out from the right bottom corner button in Autodesk ReCap.

Yan,
"...the right bottom corner button..."
OK, yes, there it is! And hovering does indeed give you a point count. Very easy. Thank you.
One huge problem I have with ReCap is that it doesn't work with 4K monitors. The menus and icons are the size of bacteria. I have to use a magnifying glass to read anything on my 55" external monitor. Makes it hard to find things.

Hello,

I'd like to ask if possible the domain for what you're using ReCap Pro? Is it BIM?

And to go from the cloud to 3D Model you pass by softwares ? Which ones?

And what's the method ? you draw on the cloud?

Thanks in advance.

Have a good day

CG,
"And to go from the cloud to 3D Model you pass by softwares? Which ones?"
ReCap to Civil 3D.
"And what's the method? you draw on the cloud?"
The RCP Point Cloud is only used to create a Surface. Then it gets turned off.

Hey, is there a possibility to check the number of points in the Regions that are made on to a rcp? I was just wondering that that would be a nice to know in order to estimate the length of the export to rcs. I have done several exports from which I have calculated the time that it took to export them. So it would be nice to know the point numbers so I could estimate the length of the export AND ALSO the load that the exported cloud is going to put on Inventor. That is so I could keep the clouds that I export small enough so that it runs smoothly on Inventor.

Hi @antti.niskanenQCD5X ,

This feature is not available for now. User has to export the regions to a unified .rcs file to find out how many points are there in the region.

I will log a feature request for it.

Thanks,

Yan

I have another query with the above context.

is there any way we can pin the scan number from navigation and we can see it but need to create station /scan layout with point/rcs number for each location.

Please advise if the mentioned feature available in Recap Pro 360 latest version.

Thank You,

Chandan
