This is happening more and more. (left image) WTH? It happens when I try to add another scan to a mostly finished ReCap project. Nothing is wrong with the scans. They import fine when I'm not trying to add them to a project. I've tried versions 2023 and 2024. Something else that is also happening is what I call 'misplaced scan parts'. Some of the scan seems to be shifted or copied from one area to another. (right image) It's not always the same part with the same scan either. I think ReCap has gone downhill the last couple versions.

To add insult to injury, this happens too every now and then. I try to import one more scan into a finished ReCap file, after manually registering so all looks well, the scan is rejected after Indexing. THEN when I launch project anyway, this has happened!  A whole section of my building has gone all Cattywampus!  Now I have to restore a previous version of the point cloud. Seriously thinking of moving back to using SCENE, but it has issues too.

Hi @LyleHardin ,

Sorry for the issues you are facing.

Would it be possible to share the dataset with us for debugging? If Yes I can PM you a private one-drive link for uploading.

Also, could you share the ReCap logs located at %localappdata%\Autodesk\Autodesk ReCap\AutodeskReCap.log

Might help identify why the scan failed at indexing.

Thanking You.

Warmest Regards,
