Corrupted Recap Pro 5.0 to use in REVIT 2017

Good morning

I have a recap file (Autodesk recap pro 5.0). It was used one time as a point cloud link attaching to Revit 2017. Now, I am trying to use over it is showing me a failed to create a point cloud link message.
The message as follow: "The File may be an incompatible format or corrupt".
Is there any way to recover that corrupted to a good one?

Could you check in the project support folder there might be some .bk* project files?

You can try to rename those backup project files to .rcp project to see if it helps.

Yan Good morning!

First of all thanks a lot for the suggestion! I am new on this of drafting, drawing in Revit, now pointing cloud insertion, so for me was helpfully your suggestion.

With your suggestion, I  got another idea by opening the support files, taking the scanned recaps points and redo the project in Recap, then I inserted as a point cloud to Revit smooth as the original project one.

Best regards,

Alfonso
