What is included in Autodesk ReCap Pro 25.1?
New Features and Improvements:
- Added support for importing panoramic image data from the e57 file.
- Added support for exporting image data to e57 file.
- Added support for exporting a mix of structured scans and unstructured scans to e57 files.
- Added new DeCap command line tool for importing image data from e57 file.
- Added support for 3Dconnexion's SpaceMouse in the main 3D View in perspective and orthographic modes.
- Added support for extended classifications for LAS 1.4 and Point Data Format 6-10.
- Added support to show a Read-Only warning before Manual Classification and Intelligent Decimation operations were performed on no-write access datasets.
- Improved stability when extracting targets.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue in which intensity from Faro scans were not imported correctly.
- Fixed an issue in which the opacity of the measurement disk for the Distance Tool was increased.
- Fixed an issue in which exporting RealView images for single large scans was closing ReCap silently.
- Fixed an issue in which selecting all points in the canvas using the Selection Tools did not work correctly at times.
- Fixed an issue in which ReCap would stall forever during project launch, returning to the project after registration, and invoking Scan to Mesh or Publish dialogs.
- Fixed an issue in which selected text highlight colors were changed from defaults based on different Windows OS themes.
- Fixed an issue in which the 'None' column for Text options during import was not localized.
- Fixed an issue in which classification information was not being read while importing a text file with classifications in languages other than English.
- Fixed an issue in which target coordinates in the Survey/Target dialog box were converted to exponential formats for languages other than English.
- Fixed an issue in which a Read-Only warning was being shown for classification operations for certain datasets that had full access.
- Fixed security vulnerabilities.

Installation Instructions
You must have administrative privileges on your Microsoft® Windows® operating system to complete the installation process.
Updating Autodesk ReCap / Autodesk ReCap Pro on a single computer:
a. Using Autodesk Access:
- Ensure Autodesk ReCap version 25.0.0 is installed on the computer.
- Launch Autodesk Access from the system tray or from Start -> Autodesk -> Autodesk Access.
- ReCap Pro 2025.1 Update should be visible in the list.
- Click on 'Update'. The new update will be downloaded and installed. Autodesk ReCap will be updated to version 25.1.0.
b. Direct download & install:
- Ensure Autodesk ReCap version 25.0.0 is installed on the computer.
- Login to Autodesk Account: https://manage.autodesk.com/home/
- Download ReCap Pro 2025.1.0 Update from "Product Updates".
- Double-click on the executable (*.exe) file.
- Follow the installation instructions on the screen. Autodesk ReCap will be updated to version 25.1.0.

New Improvements:
- Improved Accuracy: Enhances point cloud data and extracted features for more precise measurements and consistent coordinates across cloud and desktop environments.
- Enhanced Point Cloud Rendering Quality: The LOD algorithm has been improved to ensure consistent and optimized rendering quality.
