How this affects Autodesk ReCap Pro
ReCap Pro 2022 and the latest updates to ReCap Pro 2019-2021 are now available through Autodesk Desktop App. The Publish and 3D photo reconstruction features in these updates have been transitioned away from A360 Drive to Autodesk Drive. Users have until June 23, 2021 to download and install these updates, after which these features will stop working.
ReCap Pro
The latest updates to ReCap Pro 2019-2021 now publish structured scan projects to Autodesk Drive, and not A360 Drive. ReCap Pro 2022 allows users to publish structured scan projects to Autodesk Drive, or Autodesk Docs (subscription to Autodesk Docs is required).
ReCap Photo
ReCap Photo 2019-2022 now let users select a location on their Autodesk Drive for their 3D photo reconstruction results to be stored in. For users with an Autodesk Docs subscription, they can also choose a location on their Autodesk Docs accounts.
Online collaboration
Online viewing, sharing and collaboration of published structured scan projects is now done directly in Autodesk Drive and Autodesk Docs. Users simply have to click on ReCap project files (*.rcp) in Autodesk Drive and Autodesk Docs to start viewing and annotating RealViews (360 images). This also works in a multi-user, multi-browser environment if the project has been shared.
ReCap web portal retirement
The ReCap web portal (https://recap.autodesk.com) which, up until now, has been used to view and share structured scan projects published to A360 Drive, is being retired June 24, 2021. Previously published projects, when migrated from A360 Drive to Autodesk Drive, can be viewed and shared directly in Autodesk Drive.
