Videos de Recorridos Virtuales en Nubes de Puntos

Es bien sabido que a pesar de todas las potencialidades con las que cuenta ReCap para la visualización de nubes de puntos, cuando en realidad queremos mostrar un recorrido virtual en una nube de puntos el ReCap se queda corto en cuanto opciones para generar un video de calidad.

Es por ello que es necesario apoyarse con el Autodesk Navisworks y el módulo de animation para realizar este tipo de videos. Para ello es importante resaltar varios detalles a tomar en cuenta para lograr mejores resultados:

1.- Limpieza de la nube: Es importante realizar el proceso de limpiar el ruido de la nube de puntos en el ReCap, un procedimiento bastante sencillo si se está familiarizado con los comandos fence, clip inside y clip outside, para borrar o crear regiones con los puntos que no queremos que aparezcan en el video.

2.- Una vez cargada la nube en el Navisworks, podemos utilizar las opciones de del menú animation, que nos permitirá crear las escenas y hacer Capture Keyframe para ir generando el recorrido dentro del entorno de la nube de puntos.

3.- Es posible también generar escenas con la función Section Plane para crear animaciones donde se genere la nube de puntos desde un plano de corte utilizando la función enable sectioning.

4.- Una vez generada la escena solo queda exportar el video, aquí llegamos a uno de los aspectos más importantes, pues debemos seleccionar el códec de compresión para la renderización del video. En este caso, y seleccionando el formato Windows AVI, podemos elegir entre varios códec de licencia libre, el Lagarith Lossless y Xvid MPEG-4 dan muy buen resultado.

5.- Finalmente, y para generar un video de gran calidad es necesario configurar el tamaño del video usando resoluciones de alta definición y un Frame Rate (FPS) entre 25 – 30. No es necesario utilizar la función anti-aliasing cuando se trabaja con nubes de puntos.
