Rail Turnouts missing in Civil 3D 2023

Our company, which is based in New York, updated civil 3d from version 2022 to version 2023. Regrettably, there is just one turnout No. 24 in the rail turnout catalog US Imperial (.json) file. Our impression was that the majority of the typical US turnouts, including No. 8, 12, 15, and 20, should be included in the catalog. Where can we locate the entire collection of Turnout?

Thats weird, the .json file that cames by default when downloading, comes with every model, i just checked... 

the good location of the json file is : C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2023\enu\Data\Railway Design Standards\Turnout

Let us know if you can not find the complete JSON

in this file US_Imperial.json, inside the file are the turnouts that you are looking for, I am adding the files. Remember to use the ribbon>Create Turnout and not the toolbox.

Thank you very much for your help. Unfortunately, even after downloading the two supplied files, the catalog still only has two turnouts - No.24 and No.24Long. Are there any other turnouts that should be included in this catalog or where I can locate them? Nos. 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, and 26.5 are required. Mark

Hi @MChuzhik 

what option you are using in civil 3d? Ribbon or toolbox? In the jason files (from ribbon) look for a json file in this file has 8,12,15,20 etc, if you have all parameter, you can open the jason file with a notepad++ copy an existing turnout and modify the value, I hope this help you, my personal email is [email protected].

Hi @MChuzhik 

I think i know where this is coming from, please try the following 

1. Download the attached file - there's the US Imperial Catalog and the US metric

2. copy the files here : C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2023\enu\Data\Railway Design Standards\Turnout 

3. Open C3D 

4. Go to the rail tab in the ribbon 

5. Click on the Turnout Catalog in the content part 

6. Load the new catalog - browse it from its location C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2023\enu\Data\Railway Design Standards\Turnout  - Now you have loaded the catalog (s) in your C3Dfile

7. Go to Create turnout - you should be able to chose the catalog you just upload

Is there anywhere where we can download Union Pacific standards  json file? I noticed they are different from the US Imperial ones.
