Revit 2011 - missing .dlls

Hi all,

I am tasked with upgrading our company´s computers to Win10 (by wipe out and reinstall, not by update - that means clean install). That means I need to reinstall our Revit Architecture 2011 programs. Instalation preceeds w/o problems (even acording to log), but I get missing .dll message on start of Revit (adui18res.dll and REVITMATERIALUI.dll). If I aquire them from some generic dll web site, Revit will start, but with "Licensing System Error 30: failed to start AdLM".

Installing trial version (in attempt to activate licence afterwards in revit) makes no difference. It won´t allow me to launch due to missing .dlls

It is not a problem of particular PC, I tried it on other PC with results being the same. I also know about PC (private PC outside of company affairs) which runs R2011 on Win10 which means OS in not the issue.

Any suggestions? Thank you very much in advance.

You're trying to put software that was deigned for Win 7 on Win 10. Problems are to be expected even if someone else is successfully running it that way. It could be because that other machine had Windows upgraded instead of a clean install or they are just lucky.

You may want to look running a virtual machine for the older Windows.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Your old 2011 software is not supported in Win10.

You can find tips at Microsoft on how to run old software in Win10, go search there/

But your bigger problem is Autodesk is going to terminate activations of your 2011 software in the summer of 2021 so you'd better work up a plan now for a replacement, read about it here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/simplecontent/content/previous-ver...

You have time to figure out options now (if you can get your old software to run in Win10 flawlessly).
