Reinstalling Autodesk LT 2009 license after pc format

Hello everybody, I have a question:

I have an Autocad LT 2009 life license, that was installed on a pc. This pc has been formatted and when I re-installed Autocad the license was not recognized "there was a problem, please contact Autodesk support".

Now, the license is genuine, any suggestion?

The OS is Win10, I know the software is not compatible, but it worked perfectly before formatting the pc.

I hope somebody can help me...

Thanks a lot

>>"I hope somebody can help me..."

1. Ask AutoDESK. Send your request code to AutoDESK and ask for an activation code.

2. try it again

3. try it again

4. Ask a lawer - which is a specialist for software and license cases

 i think..

5. If you bought AutoCAD incl. a Disk, it looks good, otherwise not

(Possibly my English words have been chosen incorrectly and i am not a lawer, but the difference is not understandable for the layman and it is about in detail)

6.  the lawer will say that you can activate the program yourself legally, OR NOT.

      7. If this is the case, you have to search for a solution to activate the program by yourself.

Google: autodesk autocad activation
My first hit was

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/download-install/activate

where i can read:
Access with a serial number (subscription & perpetual license)
How to activate and register your product over the Internet

following the link i came to
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/download-install/activate/online-activation-registra...
but this is for newer versions only,
at the end of this page if found

Activate Offline with Activation Code (Perpetual)
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/download-install/activate/manual-activation-registra...

To manually activate products with a perpetual or education license

Generate a request code
Disable your Internet connection and start your software to begin this offline process.
Click Activate on the Free Trial screen.
Note: Autodesk software products use a free trial license until you activate them. Even if you purchased your software, you still need to activate it from the Free Trial screen.
Enter your serial number and product key. Click Next.
Select "Request an activation code using an offline method." Click Next.
Keep a record of the activation information you receive.
You need your product name, serial number, product key, and request code to receive an activation code online or from a customer service specialist.
Click Close to resume using your software in free trial mode while the request is processed.
Request an activation code
To activate your software offline, you need to request an activation code while you're online.
Go to the Get Activation Code page and use the form.
Enter your contact information, serial number, email address of the purchaser or software administrator, and the request code you generated.
Copy your activation code and follow the procedure for manual activation.

The GetAnActivationCode page:
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/download-install/activate/manual-activation-registra...

""Note: You can get activation codes only for supported versions of Autodesk software.""
Your version is not "supportet"
""To find out if a software version is supported, see Product Support Lifecycle.""
https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/previous-versions/...

and so on.

This is why i wrote my points 2.) and 3.) 😉

Good Luck

Sebastian
